They always have the best petting zoo at the Salt Lake County Fair, this year they not only had farm animals but also a kangaroo with a joey and a 4 week old camel. It is free to get in and only costs $1 for a cup of carrots to feed the animals. The goats can get pretty aggressive when it comes to carrots and stole the entire cup full from Addie. They had a black pony that loved to follow and nuzzle Addison, finally she looked at Franklin and said "Daddy, can you get this pony out of my face". Ashlyn went around and pet every animal, she is starting to love animals as much as her big sister. We did have to keep her from getting into the animals water bowl however...
In just two short months Addison has gone from terrified of the water to floating on her back, doing the backstroke, swimming with her face in the water and jumping off the diving board! It was hard to watch her cry in her first lesson but has been so rewarding as her mom to watch her overcome her fear and see the smile on her face when she accomplishes the next task. There has been a few times that I have been so proud that tears came to my eyes and I turned to look at Franklin to see the same tears in his eyes. We love this girl.
Our little Ash loves the dog water bucket, chances are if she is in the backyard then she is soaking wet.
